Description
Harlequin beetles are in big numbers in the spring where they feed on nectar and pollen like bees and butterflies. This makes them a beneficial pollinating insect for wildflowers and cactus blooms where they really pile in in great numbers per bloom. I've counted as many as 24 crammed into just one prickly pear cactus bloom
